Training: September & April sessions take place on the pitches off Victory Road, October through to March take place under floodlights at Rolls-Royce Leisure Association facilities behind the Gym (Please contact any committee member for directions).

Sessions are structured and varied with the aim that every player takes something of benefit away from each evening.

It is recommended to train in full rugby kit and wearing match day protective equipment (mouth guards / shoulder pads / headgear). Also bring along fluids & fuel to use during and after the session.

Finally due to the unpredictive nature of the British climate always bring training shoes to every session in the event the pitch is unplayable and an alternative session is planned.

Hi Guy’s,

As I hope most of you know, the laws of rugby are undergoing quite a few changes this season!

Over the last few weeks Warren has been introducing each of the new Experimental Law Variations, and to round off this introduction we have arranged for Dave Miller (aka Rocky – very experienced Rolls-Royce referee) to come down to training next Thursday to lead a thorough review of all the ELV’s and to put a referees perspective on them.

For all of you intending to put your boots back on this season this is a must attend session as the new laws have a big impact on all areas of the game, and your team mates will not let you away with “I didn’t know”..

As usual training will kick-off at 6.30 so please make sure you come ready and kitted up (I doubt the changing rooms will have reopened) for a prompt start at 6.30. If you are not able to make the session please let me and Iw’s know why you can’t make it.
